Kellie Pickler : Kid Rock and me arenot dating

When Kellie Pickler and best gal pal Taylor Swift get together, they rarely talk business. It’s usually about boys and other girl stuff.

“We talk about everything,” says the 23-year-old Pickler, the country artist who’s turned out to be one of “American Idol’s” most successful contestants. “We try not to talk so much about work because that consumes so much of our lives anyway.

“At the end of the day, sure, we talk about things that everybody else talks about.”This has been quite a year for Pickler. In June, she headlined her own concert tour.”Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You,” her latest single, is rocketing up the Billboard Country Music Charts.

Adding to her popularity, she and Swift toured together earlier in the year on the first leg of her Fearless Tour 2009.Pickler and Swift have never tried to fix up each other, mainly because their types are so different. “We are attracted to two totally different types,” Pickler says. “We do not have the same tastes in men. That’s good.

“We don’t have to worry about liking the same guy.”

And what is Pickler’s type?

“We both look for the same qualities — good guys who are respectful and understanding (of the singers’ careers). It’s hard to be in a serious relationship when you are on the road so much.”You have to find someone who is confident and secure in who they are.”

Pickler dismisses tabloid reports that she and Kid Rock are an item. She classifies him as “a good friend” and “a very good businessman.”

He’s been like a mentor, someone supportive of her ambitions.

Pickler says she has always said she would not date someone in the music industry. However, she says if the right guy came along, then she’d consider it.

She calls Kid Rock “a really good person.” She admires him for taking career risks.

“You’ve got to be able to do that,” she says.

KID ROCK LIVE AT PONTIAC SOUND STAGE BAWITDABA

“Bawitdaba” by Kid Rock and Twisted Brown Trucker, released by Kid Rock on his album Devil Without a Cause.

The song was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2000 (Best New Artist and Best Hard Rock Performance). The song peaked at No. 10 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks, No. 11 on the Modern Rock Charts, and No. 104 on the Hot 100 on July 13, 1999. In 2009, it was named the 47th best hard rock song of all time by VH1.[
The song's chorus sampled Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight",[citation needed] although they are never credited, and the title for the song comes from Lovebug Starski’s song “Live at the Fever.” The chorus also bears a striking lyrical, rhythmic and melodic resemblance to the earlier Sprinkle Genies’ song “Bum”, released on the 1997 compilation CD “Cafe Music Network’s Selects Volume 2.” (This CD was compiled by a member of Kid Rock’s management.) Kenny Tudrick did the guitar work on Kid Rock’s song and was going to sue for his royalties before Kid Rock asked him to join the band after Kenny Olson quit in 2005. A censored version of the song was also made, which replaces the word “bastards” in “all you bastards at the I.R.S.” with record scratching.
The song was played over the climax of the pilot episode of the FX television series The Shield. It was also featured in the 2000 movie Ready to Rumble as a remixed version called the “The Lower Than You” remix. A live version of the song was included on the Woodstock 99 compilation album.
Excluding the album Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast, this song is Kid Rock’s only song available on iTunes, and the Woodstock version is the only one you can buy as an individual purchase.
The song was used in a Simpsons episode in which the family goes to Florida in spring break and Homer goes to a Kid Rock and Joe C concert.
The song was also performed at WWE Wrestlemania XXV as part of a medley prior to the 25-Diva Miss Wrestlemania Battle Royal.

For the crooked cops and the cluttered desks For the shots of jack and the caps of meth Half pints of love and the fifths of stress

For the hookers all tricking out in Hollywood And for my hoods of the world misunderstood I said it’s all good and it’s all in fun Now get in the pit and try to love someone

Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy diggy said the boogy said up jump the boogy (Love Someone) Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy diggy said the boogy said up jump the boogy (Kill Someone)

Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy diggy said the boogy said up jump the boogy (Love Someone) Bawitdaba da bang a dang diggy diggy diggy said the boogy said up jump the boogy (Come On)

For the time bombs ticking and the heads that hang All the gangs getting money and the heads that bang bang

Wild mustangs the porno flicks All my homies in the county in cell block six

The grits when there ain’t enough eggs to cook And for DB Cooper and money he took

You can look for answers but that ain’t fun Now get in the pit and try to love someone What

More Info about Kid Rock's Song Only God Knows Why

“Only God Knows Why” is a southern rock ballad recorded by Kid Rock in 1998 on his album Devil Without a Cause. It peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100, #13 on Modern Rock Tracks, #5 Mainstream Rock Tracks and # 23 Hot AC. The song was the first recorded ballad on record by Kid Rock. It was a weary road ballad in which the first four lines were written while he was in jail after a bar fight after signing to Atlantic Records in 1997. The song is also noted as one of the earliest songs to use the now popular Auto-Tune. Country Outlaw singer David Allan Coe released a live cover version on his release Live At Billy Bob’s in 2003.

The music video was shot at various locations throughout his concerts during that time frame. Hank Williams Jr makes a cameo appearance after Kid Rock had appeared in Williams “Naked Women and Beer” music video. The most infamous scene in the music video is him getting hit with a full wine bottle in the head. The end of the video shows an overzealous fan following him to his car with security holding him back. His band, mother, father, and son are featured through various home video footage in the video.

Lyrics:

I’ve been sittin’ here
Tryin’ to find myself
I get behind myself
I need to rewind myself

Lookin’ for the payback
Listen for the playback
They say that every man bleeds just like me

And now I feel like number one
Yet I’m last in life
I watch my younger son
And it helps to pass the time

I take too many pills to help to ease the pain
I made a couple of dollar bills still I feel the same
Everybody knows my name
They say it way out loud
A lot of folks fuck with me
It’s hard to hang out in crowds
I guess that’s the price you pay
To be some big shot like I am
Out strecthed hands and one night stands
Still I can’t find love

And when your walls come tumbling down
I will always be around
And when your walls come tumbling down
I will always be around

People don’t know about the things I say and do
They don’t understand about the shit that I’ve been
through
It’s been so long since I’ve been home
I’ve been gone, I’ve been gone for way too long
Maybe I forgot all things I miss

Oh somehow I know there’s more to life than this
I said it too many times
And I still stand firm
You get what you put in
And people get what they deserve
Still I ain’t seen mine
No I ain’t seen mine
I’ve been giving just ain’t been gettin’
I’ve been walking down that there line
So I think I’ll keep on walking
With my head held high
I’ll keep moving on and only God knows why

Only God…..Only God
Only God knows why
Only God….knows….why, why, why only God knows
why
Take me to the river’s edge
Take me to the river, hey hey hey

Lyrics:

“Cowboy”

Cowboy…Cowboy

Well I’m packing up my game and I’m a head out west
Where real women come equipped with scripts and fake breasts
Find a nest in the hills chill like Flynt
Buy an old drop top find a spot to pimp
And I’m a Kid Rock it up and down your block
With a bottle of scotch and watch lots of crotch
Buy a yacht with a flag sayin’ chilling the most
Then rock that bitch up and down the coast
Give a toast to the sun, drink with the stars
Get thrown in the mix and tossed out of bars
Then to Tijuana… I wanna roam
Find Motown and tell them fools to come back home
Start an escort service, for all the right reasons
And set up shop at the top of four seasons
Kid Rock and I’m the real McCoy
And I’m headin’ out west sucker…because I wanna be a

Cowboy baby
With the top let back and the sunshine shining
Cowboy baby
West coast chilling with the Boone’s Wine
I wanna be a Cowboy baby
Riding at night cause I sleep all day
Cowboy baby
I can smell a pig from a mile away

I bet you’ll hear my whistle blowing when my train rolls in
It goes (whistle) like dust in the wind
Stoned pimp, stoned freak, stoned out of my mind
I once was lost, but now I’m just blind
Palm trees and weeds, scabbed knees and rice
Get a map to the stars, find Heidi Fleiss
And if the price is right I’m gonna make my bid boy
And let Cali-for-ny-aye know why they call me

Cowboy baby
With the top let back and the sunshine shining
Cowboy baby
West coast chilling with the Boone’s Wine
I wanna be a Cowboy baby
Riding at night cause I sleep all day
Cowboy baby
I can smell a pig from a mile away

Yeah…Kid Rock…you can call me Tex
Rollin sunset woman with a bottle of Becks
Seen a slimy in a vette, rolled down my glass
And said, Yeah this dick fits right in your ass
No kidding, gun slinging, spurs hitting the floor
Call me Hoss, I’m the Boss, with the sauce in the horse
No remorse for the sheriff, in his eye I ain’t right
I’m gonna paint his town red, and paint his wife white HUH
Cause chaos, rock like Amadeus
Find West Coast pussy for my Detroit players
Mack like mayors, ball like Lakers
They told us to leave, but bet they can’t make us
Why they wanna pick on me…lock me up and snort away my key
I ain’t no G, I’m just a regular failure
I ain’t straight outta Compton I’m straight out the trailer
Cuss like a sailor…drink like a Mick
My only words of wisdom are just, Radio Edit
I’m flicking my Bic up and down that coast and
Keep on trucking until it falls in the ocean

Cowboy
With the top let back and the sunshine shining
Cowboy
Spend all my time at Hollywood and Vine
Cowboy
Riding at night cause I sleep all day
Cowboy
I can smell a pig from a mile away
Cowboy
With the top let back and the sunshine shining
Cowboy
With the top let back and the sunshine shining

YouTube and Warner Music feud nearing the End ?

Warner Music and YouTube have called time on their ongoing battle over music rights to the relief of artists and users alike.
Warner Music pulled all of its music from the video-sharing site in December after the two companies failed to reach a new licensing deal.

Kid Rock Wasting Time, one of my favorites !

The move resulted in thousand of music videos being removed, user generated content using Warner Music falling silent and artists had their videos blocked from their own websites if they embedded clips through YouTube.

Music videos from artists including Madonna, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kid Rock were among those affected.
The dispute arose after Warner Music demanded a higher fee each time its content was viewed, which YouTube maintained was uneconomical.

YouTube has been embroiled in a series of disagreements with music rights holders, including the UK’s PRS for Music, which collects royalties for songwriters and composers for music played in Britain.

The two parties reached a three-year agreement earlier this month, which involved the payment of a one-off lump sum.
For fans of Warner artists, things are looking up. The label is reportedly in talks with Vevo, a joint venture between YouTube, Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainmen, which is expected to launch this year
