Kid Rock was in court on Friday over a lawsuit that stemmed from an altercation that happened in 2006 at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles.
Three fans, Micheal Medlin, Jose Perez, and Carlos Bonilla, have accused Kid Rock of punching and kicking them when they asked for his autograph. Additionally, after the resulting melee, they say Kid Rock growled: “Who wants a piece of me next.”
“I wouldn’t say something corny like that,” Kid Rock stated on the stand.
“It was kind of chaotic,” Rock remembered. “There were cameras everywhere and people yelling.” He admits that maybe things got out of hand. A member of a rap group whom Kid was hanging out with that night, was said to have pushed one of the plaintiffs without aid from Kid Rock. As for the camera of the Plaintiffs found on Kid Rock, he claims to not know how it got there.
“I said to get rid of them, take them back to the hotel, call the police, whatever,”
He says he didn’t grab the cameras nor did he tell his entourage to grab them. The three men are asking for at least $15 million in damages from Kid Rock, the rapper who shoved one of them, The Roosevelt and Lost Highway Touring.
